This site is a volunteer-led project of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Solid Waste Advisory Boards (SWABs), local advisory groups focused on improving NYC’s waste systems. We visualize publicly available data to help residents better understand how waste is collected, exported, and diverted in their neighborhoods. All data comes from public sources and is used solely for educational and advocacy purposes.
